Academee Ranked UK's 7th Best Workplace by FT
Leading learning solutions specialist leaps 26 places up top company chart
Academee has been named the 7th best place to work in the UK by the Financial Times in the annual Best Workplaces survey.
This is the third year in succession that Academee, a leading provider of leadership learning solutions, has been recognised by the FT as one of the UK's 50 Best Workplaces. This year Academee has risen 26 places from its 2007 ranking of number 33 on the list.
Academee is headquartered in the UK and works in partnership with major international clients including RBS, AstraZeneca and Fujitsu Services.
Based on extensive research conducted by The Great Place to Work Institute, the FT Best Workplaces awards recognise the importance of organisational culture. Research has demonstrated a clear link between a supportive culture and financial success. Academee has enjoyed several years of strong growth and last year grew by a record 28%. It also expanded into the Asia-Pacific region with the launch of Academee AP.
Academee was recently acquired by international management consulting firm, Oliver Wyman, which is also recognised by the FT as one of the UK's 50 Best Workplaces.
The survey on which the FT rankings are based asks staff for their views on the organisation they work for in an in-depth online survey. Questions assess levels of trust, management competence, opportunities for personal growth, equitable sharing of opportunities and rewards, camaraderie and pride in the organisation.
Clare Roberts, managing director of Academee, said: "We are thrilled to be recognised once again as one of the UK's Best Workplaces. The fact that we have risen so far up the list this year recognises how important our people and our culture are to our success.
"One of the things that most attracted Oliver Wyman to Academee was our people-centred culture and values. We are proud of our entrepreneurial spirit, the high levels of trust and support in our workplace and our strong client focus. We aim to create an environment where individuals can grow and develop and to offer employees working solutions that benefit both them and the business."
Communication is key at Academee and input from all employees is encouraged via company away days, regular learning events, business updates, staff newsletters, surveys and employee forums. Flexible working and home working are options many employees have taken up. Staff are also empowered to take responsibility for their own learning and development.
Academee's blended learning solutions combine face-to-face learning, elearning and online applications, and communications and creative design. Specialising in the areas of leadership development, leadership coaching, talent development, outstanding teams, leading diversity, customer experience, change and employee engagement, the Academee learning experience is challenging, enjoyable and focused on implementation.
In addition to the FT Best Workplaces award, Academee is recognised by The Sunday Times as one of The Best Small Companies to Work For and has won several other major awards.
