Structured Dialogue
Discovery is a valuable part of many Academee learning solutions. We believe that when participants make sense of data and draw conclusions for themselves, they value that learning more highly than if they had been told.
We therefore regularly develop with clients activities that allow discovery to take place on a consistent basis for tens, hundreds and even thousands of people across client organisations. We use structured dialogue to get participants involved, asking small groups to work through a series of dialogues based on:
- Carefully crafted questions
- Simply structured data sheets
- Powerful activities
- Story-telling to draw on people's own experience.
Academee's structured dialogue sessions have been used to get large groups of people to understand the case for change, to explore opportunities for improvement, to engage with a new brand model, and to support implementation of new systems.
The results are consistently that people have "aha" moments together, as they work through the dialogue process, and that the learning achieved lives with them. We use this to achieve organisation-wide changes in mindset, understanding and buy-in to changes in strategy or culture. They can also be combined with visual metaphor, team development activities and communications events to good effect.
Academee's structured dialogue sessions encourage large groups of people to understand the case for change, explore opportunities for improvement, engage with a new brand model, and support implementation of new systems.
