Employment Advisor Induction Programme
All Remploy Interwork employees receive a professional induction that covers the appropriate organisational and human resources material. In addition, there is a need to train people in the specific job knowledge for all of the roles that they might need to adopt. Typically, an Advisor would be trained using a "buddy" or mentoring approach. This approach was not always satisfactory as it does not ensure consistent training and it does not necessarily guarantee that the training received is either complete or wholly accurate and up-to-date. As an alternative to the mentoring model, Remploy Interwork asked Academee to develop an elearning solution that might satisfy the needs of the organisation and the individuals within it.
Our solution was to develop a range of 16 "bite-size" 20-minute elearning modules that related directly onto the Client Journey as experienced by a Remploy client. Each module could be used as just-in-time training by an Employment Advisor who might be involved in a stage of the journey that they were not familiar with.
The elearning modules are supported by a comprehensive online resource library that provides further reading and the latest downloadable policy and procedure documents, plus a collaborative environment that allows new employees to ask questions of more experienced Employment Advisors specialised in each of the subject areas.
