FinningShare Online Community
Collaboration is a powerful way of helping to ensure success in any learning solution. At Academee we have developed LearningShare - an online community environment that allows learners to share their thoughts and ideas as well as documents and images.
LearningShare is highly customisable and many of our customers have asked us to produce versions that are specific to their organisations.
FinningShare is one example of this - developed to allow Finning engineers at various sites around the UK to share their knowledge and expertise, as well as to act as a support for a number of personal and professional development programmes.
FinningShare allows the participant to select and register for any number of special interest groups from a list that is created and maintained by the user community. Alternatively, new groups can be created to reflect new projects or areas of discussion.
The members of a special interest group have a number of tools available to them - including discussion forums, chat rooms and filing sharing areas - as well as the facilities to quickly set up a poll of group members or to share their favourite web links.
The interface has been designed to allow rapid access to a wide range of tools and includes a comprehensive online help facility.
