Andy is a highly experienced training and development consultant, combining excellent facilitation skills with a strong commercial and management background.
Andy has been lead facilitator and coach on a variety of major management development programmes. His particular areas of expertise are around the development of leadership and management effectiveness, team development and process facilitation. His approach centres on working with individuals and groups, facilitating performance development by focusing on live business challenges as the vehicle for learning, and providing demonstrable return on investment.
Having gained a bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Andy began his career with British Aerospace, in the purchasing department of the Military Aircraft Division, where he held a number of commercial and project management roles, working on major export aircraft programmes. He subsequently moved to a career in learning and development in a variety of consulting, business development and leadership roles.
Andy holds a postgraduate diploma in Training and Development and is accredited to use the Margerison-McCann Team Management Systems and the Transformational Leadership Questionnaire (360°).
Away from work, Andy enjoys spending time with his family, sport and hill walking. He has a particular passion for the Scottish Highlands and loves to retreat there occasionally to enjoy the magnificent scenery.
